Changfeng Group Co., Ltd. was founded in June 1950. It was restructured in October 1996 from the former 7319 factory of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It was handed over to the Hunan Provincial People's Government in September 2001. The company headquarters is located in Changsha, Hunan province and mainly engaged in R&D, manufacturing and sales of automobiles. The company has a total assets of 16.9 billion yuan and nearly 8,000 employees. Mr. Li Jianxin, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the company, was elected as the deputy of the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th National People's Congress.

  • 1950 一 1965 The First Pioneering
    In June 1950, the No.3 Plant of Eight Zero Arsenal of Kuomin Party at Shahe in Guangzhou was took over by the Logistics Department of the Guangdong Military Region of PLA, and the Ordnance Repair Shop of the Guangdong Military Region Logistics Department was formed. In 1952, the shop was renamed as Ordnance Repair Shop of the South China Military Region, and in 1953, it was expanded as a Medium-sized Repair Plant of the Middle South Military Region. In 1957, it was renamed as the 202th Factory of Guangzhou Military Region. In November 1960, the Guangzhou 056 Factory of the Guangzhou Military Region was established in Hengyang.
    In July 1965, the 056th Factory was renamed as the 7403th Factory of the Guangzhou Military Region. In June 1965, the 202the factory moved from Guangzhou to Lengshuitan, Hunan according to the needs of war preparation. The factory was renamed as the 7319th factory of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. During the first pineering, the factory was mainly engaged in military firearms, firearms, optical equipment and other equipment maintenances, and made positive contributions to the military equipment support. In order to meet the needs of war preparation, the factory completed the mission of " Moving from the 1st line region to the 3rd line region" strategic relocation from Guangzhou to Lengshuitan of Hunan province.
  • 1965 一 1984 The Second Pioneering
    In 1965, the factory started its second pioneering after the relocation of Guangzhou Shahe to Hunan Lengshuitan. In 1967, the 7431 factory in Hengyang moved to Hunan Lengshuitan. In January 1969, the 7431 factory and the 7319 factory were merged and collectively referred to as the 7319th Factory of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The workforce grew to approximately 1,100 people and added some businesses including military vehicle repairs, tire repairs and rubber parts making, etc.. The factory became the largest comprehensive repair factory in the Guangzhou Military Region. The factory participated in the equipment support task in the Vietnam's self-defense counterattack operations.
  • 1984 一 2011 The Third Pioneering
    In 1984, the reform pace of military enterprise began to accelerate. Mr. Li Jianxin was appointed as the factory director when he was 31 years old. Adhering to the principle of "taking use of the civilian demands to support military demands and guaranteeing a conversion from military demands to transfer civilian use", the factory made a trial-manufactured of the Xiangling brand 212 light off-road vehicle. In 1987, the factory successfully developed and produced the Leopaard light off-road command vehicle. In 1988, the factory began a mass production after technical upgrade had been implemented. In 1995, the factory cooperated with Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Japan and introduced Mitsubishi Pajero technology. In 1996, a technical upgrade was made with 320 million yuan investment. By the end of 1999, a production base with an annual production volume of 30,000 light off-road vehicles production base was set up, which laid a cornerstone for a successful conversion from Military to civilian use.
    The company implemented the development strategy of “Winning by being professional” and realized the transformation from factory system to company system.   • 2012 一 Now The Forth Pioneering
    The Forth Entrepreneurship begun in May 2009. According to the requirement of the provincial party committee and provincial government, Changfeng Group took out the her core assets twice to make strategic cooperations with GAC, which successfully facilitated two whole vehicle projects including GAC-fiat and GAC-Mitsubishi settled in Hunan, and more than 10 domestic and international famous auto parts and service projects settled in the Changsha Economic and Technical Development Zone, forming a more completed automobile industrial cluster and promoting the automobile industry entered a new era in Hunan province.
